Today I’m going to share the Snow White shrug and Rose Red wrap.
There are two characters in fairy tale lore called Snow White. One is the girl whose step-mother (aka The Evil Queen) sends a huntsman after her to cut out her heart. Remember her? She ends up living with dwarfs (or knights in one version). The other Snow White has a sister named Rose Red.
In the story of Snow and Rose, they are two sisters who live with their poor widow mother in a small cottage. I don’t want to spoil it if you haven’t read it, but let’s say there’s a bear and a dwarf involved in this story. In this tale, Snow White is quiet and gentle. She spends a lot of time with her mother in the cottage. Rose Red, on the other hand, loves to run outside and chase butterflies and pick flowers.
The two designs modeled after these sister characters are reflective of their personalities. Joan of Dark designed two beautiful pieces – a delicate, ruffly piece for the gentle Snow White and a simply pretty wrap for the more active Rose Red. These are two gorgeous pieces that would be an asset to any woman’s wardrobe!
